The “Blue Vagabond” Opens at Crossroads Theater at Five Points

Urban legend of a vagabond poet searching for the lost purpose in his life,
a story appropriate for our time and for all time.

DENVER, Mar. 24, 2009—What happens when you cross paths with The Blue Vagabond on the steets of Denver? He is homeless and pushes a cart full of stuff, some of it for sale. But his most important possession is his words, he is a poet and sees with big eyes. If you listen to his stories, you can receive his gift.
The story of the Blue Vagabond is a lyric metaphor of every person’s desire and search for meaning in their life, portrayed though the life of a homeless vagabond poet who has lost his way. In these days of lost jobs and failed interviews, the Blue Vagabond reveals how close each one of us is to the Vagabond pushing his cart. In the Denver Post review of the 2004 production, Bob Bows said the Blue Vagabond is, “as compelling an evening of theater as you will find anywhere.”
The Blue Vagabond opens Friday, April 10, 2009. Jeff Campbell, a.k.a. A.P.O.S.T.L.E., plays the Blue Vagabond. Miranda LeQuire plays the other characters of the world of the Blue Vagabond. Kurt Lewis directs, and is also the playwright. The musical score was written by Mike Crom.

April 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 30 • May 1, 2 • All shows begin at 7:30 p.m.
Admission is $19; tickets may be purchased at www.DenverCrossroads.com or at the box office. The theater is located at 2590 Washington Street, Denver, CO 80205.
Parking is available in the covered and secure parking lot located just behind Crossroads Theater, accessible on Washington Street. Crossroads Theater is also accessible by RTD lightrail, and is near the station on the D Line at 27th and Welton Street.

Food Wars is a can food drive to see who will Be King of the Cans!
My G won it last year with 300 cans

There will be 20 hip hop artists performing at Mt. Tabor on April 17th from 7pm- 2:30am. The artist who has the most fans bring the most cans wins!

This is gonna be a great event because it is for a great cause. There are a lot of people having a hard time making ends meet and if we can help them by providing food for them and their families someday someone will help us. Give and be given.
