2nd Annual RISE UP Musical Talent Search

This is a search for phenomenal performers of original material in the categories Hip-Hop/Reggae, R&B/Soul and Pop/Rock. The finals will feature a showcase of the top 4 performances in each of the 3 categories being judged by;

James DuBose, CEO of DuBose Entertainment and Executive Producer for BET Networks reality hit "Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is" will also be on our panel of judges!

Nate Burleson the wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks will round out the Flossin Media and Liquid Assets panel of judges for Rise Up 2008.

Rise Up is a vocational program for students between the ages of 14 - 26 in the Portland Metro area that focuses on Continued Education and Vocational Training in the music industry. The music industry is an intricate machine with many parts from making a song to marketing it to publishing rights. Rise ups focus is to help youth explore music from an industry stand point.

The night will also feature special performances from Liquid Assets (LA) recording artists who show case three very different styles of Hip Hop. With conscious lyrics set to jazz undertone and sweaty Club bangers accented by the graphic Hard Core Street reality while being educated in Pimpology. These are the sounds you can expect to find within the LA Artist family.

James DuBose, founder and CEO of DuBose Entertainment produced several reality and live action network and cable." In 2006, DuBose was approached by BET and Interscope A&M Records to produce the highly acclaimed "Keisha Cole: The Way It Is" reality show in which Cole the second highest ratings of any BET program up until that time.

The finals will feature a showcase of the top 4 performances in each of the 3 categories being judged by celebrity record producers Tim Kelly &Bob Robinson who have sold 170 million records and worked with Mega Stars like Madonna, P-Diddy, Michael Jackson, and Boyz II Men.
